Lu holds a masters degree in information systems from the University of Southampton and she has a background in accounting and finance. Attracted by the social simulation research method, her PhD in sociology at the University of Surrey concerns the use of simulation to study the role of affect in newcomers' socialization processes among different organisational groups.
