Description:

Simulates academic scientists' publication and collective problem solving. Generates: frequency distributions similar to those found in bibliometric data, including papers per author and citations per paper; networks, including co-authorship and co-citation; problem solving in the form of landscape search, including evaluation by peer review, and Kauffman’s NK fitness landscapes. This model combines ideas from two literatures: scientometrics, or the study of science using bibliometric data, and; models of organisational learning.
